Teresa Pierre, PhD

Teresa has worked in the educational sector for over 30 years, acquiring an understanding of all levels of education from kindergarten through post-graduate studies. She did her undergraduate degree in Humanities at the University of Notre Dame and received her PhD in medieval history from the University of Toronto. She is a published author on medieval marriage and the history of the body. In 2011 she founded a parent group called Parents as First Educators.  For over thirteen years she worked to bring accountability and transparency to Canadian public schools, acquiring extensive experience in marketing, fundraising, social media and graphic design. She has also served as vice-principal at an inspected private school in Toronto.
